Set up in five minutes
Install KinBeat on your parent's Android phone, grant the permissions it asks for, and pick a sleep window. Add the family members who should know if something goes wrong.
KinBeat watches over your elderly parents using their phone's own motion sensor. If something feels wrong, every family member knows in seconds. No cameras. No GPS. Just peace of mind.
You install KinBeat once. From then on, it works in the background - efficiently, on the phone your parent already carries.
Install KinBeat on your parent's Android phone, grant the permissions it asks for, and pick a sleep window. Add the family members who should know if something goes wrong.
Your parent goes about their day. The phone - in their pocket or on their belt - tracks whether they are moving. Nothing else.
If the phone stays still for too long, every family member on KinBeat is alerted. One tap from them, or a thumbs-up from your parent, resolves it.
Designed with elderly parents in mind - and with the children, siblings and grandchildren who worry about them.
One signal - movement. We do not read messages, watch the camera, listen on the microphone, or follow location.
Set the hours when your parent sleeps. KinBeat pauses watching for those hours. No false alarms at 3 AM.
Most safety apps get killed in the background on aggressive Android phones. KinBeat uses the phone's hardware-batched motion sensor, which keeps working even when the OS is shutting other apps down.
Everyone in the family gets the alert at the same time. The first to respond closes the loop for the rest. No group-chat scrambling.
If your parent feels unwell, a single big button raises the alarm and (optionally) calls a chosen number, even before the family responds.

Most "elder safety" apps are surveillance tools wearing a halo. KinBeat reads one thing - whether the phone is moving - and ignores everything else. Your parent keeps their dignity. You keep your peace of mind.
If your parent stops moving for the time you set, the family is told. Beyond that, KinBeat sees nothing. We cannot - by design - read what your parent is doing on their phone, and we never want to.
End-to-end encrypted. Family alerts and your parent's status sit behind Firebase Auth and per-family security rules. Local data is encrypted on the device. No public buckets. No leaks.
One subscription covers your whole family. The trial is 14 days, the full app - no feature locks.

KinBeat uses the phone's built-in motion sensor - the same one inside every modern smartphone. If the phone stays completely still for longer than the time you set, every family member is alerted. There are no cameras, no microphones, and no GPS tracking.
Yes. KinBeat runs on the parent's Android phone. The phone needs to be carried in a pocket, on a belt clip, or on the person - that is what gives the motion signal. iPhone is supported for family members watching the parent.
No. KinBeat is the opposite of a tracking app. We do not collect location, browsing history, photos, or audio. We watch one signal - movement - and only act when something looks wrong.
You set a sleep window - for example 10 PM to 7 AM. During that time, KinBeat does not raise alerts. As soon as the window ends, watching resumes automatically.
The family will see the parent's phone as offline and silent - and KinBeat tells the family clearly that the alert system is paused. There is no false silence: if KinBeat cannot watch, you know.
KinBeat starts with a 14-day free trial. After that it is the local equivalent of £2.99 a month for the family, plus £1 for each additional parent you watch. The App Store / Play Store charges in your local currency automatically. One subscription covers every family member with the app installed.
KinBeat speaks 22 languages: English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Urdu, Odia, Sinhala, Spanish, French, Indonesian, Filipino, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese, Korean and Arabic. The brand name KinBeat stays in English in every language.
The family-monitoring side of KinBeat works on iPhone. The parent (the person being watched) needs to be on Android, because the motion-sensor work runs reliably on Android in the background. We are working on a parent-side iOS build.
It takes five minutes. Once it's set up, you'll go back to the rest of your life - and KinBeat will keep watching in the background, so you don't have to.
